About | MacKillop Parish comes under the Catholic Diocese of Maitland Newcastle which is a suffragan Latin Church diocese of the Archdiocese of Sydney The Catholic Parish of MacKillop serves the population of north-eastern Lake Macquarie through its three Churches in Charlestown, Gateshead and Redhead, as well as providing valued education from its two primary schools in Charlestown and Gateshead and a secondary school at Gateshead. |

St Mary's CollegeGATESHEAD |  | DetailsFounded in 1964 by the Sisters of St. Joseph as a high school to serve students in Years 7-10 in the East Lake Macquarie region, St Mary’s transitioned in 2018 to serve Years 7-12 as a Catholic college. The school serves as a high school for both of our Parish primary schools, as well as all other children from East Lake Macquarie region.
